Nice treatments but far from Luxury
This was a Christmas gift taken in May. Booking was easy to do via email, upon arrival there was a huge coach party having lunch so as they were very busy the main reception was empty. After about 10 minutes and a queue building up a lovely lady arrived and apologised. The staff in the glass room bar for the spa lunch were very attentive and the salad and sandwich were nice. We made our way to the spa and again waited for someone to greet us. After receiving the forms and a choice of treatments on a card we were just left alone and nobody came for a further 20 minutes and I had to go and find a therapist. Once our treatments were chosen we changed and used the facilities whilst waiting. The pool isn’t really a pool, more of a large spa area and one part was out of order. Steam room and sauna worked very well. There were lots of confusion about our package with a visit from a receptionist to say we had been told the wrong information only to have another visit again to say she had mistaken us with someone else. Robes are an additional £7.50 which I suppose keeps the cost down but again doesn’t feel like luxury. Our treatment time was 15 mins late but it was at a high standard and overall we had a lovely day. It’s not somewhere I would revisit or recommend.

Luxury spa
The hotel itself was lovely, in a lovely setting. However, the spa and treatment choice was not great. The rooms very small, could hear outside noise during treatments, the staff seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing during the treatments and the spa area was ok but one area not working. Lunch was a joke! We were told a table would be ready, no table ready and bar staff didn’t know we were coming, the lunch menu for spa guests was not very good. For the amount of money paid as it was a special occasion it was not luxury at all. Would not attend again.
