Afternoon Tea
We were well looked after, they allowed us to have the tea on Fri rather than the usual Sat. We much appreciated it. It was delicious and well served.

Wonderful gift
We were bought this gift for Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was amazing and the waiter was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. The afternoon tea was one of the best we have had. Everything was very fresh and beautifully displayed and with an endless supply of coffee or tea. Excellent.

Mum’s early mother’s day treat
My mother has been to this venue previously which is located in Alnwick a traditional Northumbria town with famous castle and gardens. The hotel is in character for the area and the restaurant /tea room was made it the afternoon more special. We had the deluxe afternoon tea with a choice of two types of sandwiches each, scones and home made fancies, all of which washed down with as much tea and coffee as we wanted.
Staff were very attentive and looked after us very well. Would recommend this venue for anybody looking for a treat and maybe a short stay as the hotel had much more character than the branded ones we normally stay in.
Our thanks to the White Swan for an enjoyable afternoon.

Enjoyable but...
Tea was served in the impressive and very large dining room. Staff were lovely. Tea itself was very good. Special mention for delicious scones and sausage rolls. Good variety of sweet treats. More jam and cream would be good as scones were quite large. My only criticism is that the crockery was thick white china and felt more appropriate for school dinners. On the whole we had a good experience but cannot comment on value for money as this was a gift.
