Enjoy a hands-on experience with a fellow animal lover and experience what life as a zookeeper is like with this half-day keeper experience at Northumberland College Zoo. You'll be able to get up close with some of the zoo’s most popular animals, as you are assigned to one of the keepers for the morning. They will be on hand to take you around the zoo, showing you what their daily tasks are and letting you join in too! The knowledgeable keepers will be on hand to answer any of your questions too. After a morning of rewarding work with the animals, you’ll be free to explore the zoo at your own pace for the rest of the day and will be treated to a drink from the zoo kiosk to keep you going!

What do I need to know?

• Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
• This voucher is valid for two people
• Available on Saturday and Sunday
• Zoo entry is available from February half term to October half term
• Minimum age:12 years
• Your experience should be booked in advance
• This experience runs 10am–12.30pm
• Please note, you will not be able to handle the animals, except for reptiles
• All dates are subject to availability
