About the experience
Put pedal to the metal on the UK’s fastest race circuit. Discover the best of British and German engineering at Thruxton Circuit with this mind-blowing driving experience for one. You’ll receive brilliant tuition from a seasoned instructor before jumping behind the wheel of two legendary vehicles. The instructor will demonstrate racing lines with three familiarisation laps before you take control of the iconic Alpine A110S, where you'll enjoy three epic laps on the 2.4-mile circuit. It’s then time to get comfortable in the supercharged McLaren 570S. Take this amazing driving machine for a further three-lap spin and feel the twin-turbocharged V8 engine’s power.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- This voucher is valid for one person
- This experience is available to book on selected weekdays from February–November, please enquire upon booking for further details
- You are advised to book at least six weeks in advance
- Briefings are shared, however, all in-car tuition is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor
- This experience lasts for two and a half hours, including a briefing, demo laps, over seven miles driving each car and a debrief – please arrive 10 minutes before your booked start time
- Minimum age: 17 years
- Maximum height: 6'3''
- Maximum weight: 18 stone
- All participants must sign a disclaimer confirming a full British or international manual driving licence, good health and no disability that could affect driving
- Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions, any unused laps are credited for another visit – please call the venue if you are in any doubt
- Please dress comfortably (preferably avoiding synthetic clothing) and wear narrow, flat-soled shoes
- A helmet and any special clothing are provided on the day
- Spectators are welcome
- When booking, expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at an additional charge of £20 to £40. There is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver

Excellent experience.
Went to Thruxton for the McLaren 570s thrill experience. The whole event was very well organised and everyone I dealt with were very professional. The sighting laps in the Ford Focus were extremely useful.
The McLaren certainly lived up to my expectations. The instructor Justin was very encouraging and gave really good feedback. I purchased the 360 degree video which is amazing.
A great day and one I would definitely recommend.

Awesome drive in the 650s
Having attended a number of previous driving experience events I can comment that the everyman racing operation is a very well run and slick operation. I arrived at Dunsfold an hour before the drive slot as requested and was taken by their shuttle service to to main track area. From here we were directed into the registration area which was well organised with friendly and helpful staff. The process took about 10 minutes to complete then it was off to the demo lap with one of the course drivers to familiarise yourself with the track.
Dunsfold is an open expanse of space and they used cones to create chicane features and turn in indicators giving you something to aim for - it's obviously not a race track but gives you enough features to enjoy the car and get a feel for cornering,braking and acceleration.
The McClaren 650s spider was a complete revelation for me and a whole level above any of the previous exotic sports cars driven - this machine is insane - it felt all of the 2.9 seconds to 60mph as the speciation says!
My instructor was excellent, giving clear direction and also allowing me to really open up the performance of the car when permitting. The track was relatively clear at most points so he really encouraged me to push on after the initial lap.
We were so much faster than most of the other cars that overtaking was simple and I never had to back off to let anyone else past.
Following the drive we experienced a passenger lap in the ariel atom - wow what a car - if you get the chance give it a go.
Overall a great time from a well organised and polished process. Staff were all friendly and polite and the cars were amazing. I would imagine that at weekends or peak summer months it would be very busy but as long as you bear that in mind when booking you can manage your expectations as I didn't have to wait too long at any point in the day.
Great fun and would definitely be happy to book with them again.
