Dinner gift
We had a 3 course table d'hote meal. The starters were lovely, the main course was not great (lamb very tough) and dessert pretty average. We ordered a bottle of wine for £27 (which we knew was not included in our voucher), but when the bill came, it was for £48.65! They had charged us £9.50 for coffee, which should have been included plus a £12.15 service charge. They did take off the coffee when challenged. Not a great atmosphere in the hotel and pretty ugly decor. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed a walk before making our way home. Overall it was ok, but wouldn't bother going back.

Midweek dinner
Lovely venue and the dinner was delicious but we were very disappointed as we discovered the voucher was only worth £70 and did not cover the prices on the menu. We had 2 courses, a glass of wine, a beer and 2 coffees and had to pay £68 extra
