Great Christmas gift!
Really enjoyed our time at Chilterns Spa and Wellness today. Lovely new facilities, very clean and well looked after. Great steam room and sauna and lovely monsoon shower for cooling off. We both had a back and shoulder massage which was excellent, the therapists were very good. Felt totally relaxed afterwards, would definitely go back!

Nothing special
My wife and I were given an experience voucher as a Christmas present by our daughter and we decided that we would like to use it for a visit to a spa. Unfortunately the nearest spa experience available to us in Luton was at the Chilterns Spa and Wellness Centre in Amersham. The facilities available at this centre were somewhat limited mainly consisting of a sauna, a steam room, tiled relaxation benches, two spas and deluge showers. There was no jacuzzi or hydro pool in the spa which would have made our visit more enjoyable. Only one of the foot spas was fully functioning and both of the deluge showers were cold when one of them should have been warm. The changing rooms were rather small with only two showers which were only luke warm. Also in the atrium of the centre the cafe was closed due to a technical problem with the computer system and only a limited choice of food and drink was available from vending machines. We did benefit from our experience in that we both felt quite refreshed and invigorated afterwards but we both felt that it was nothing special.

Loved it.
My husband and I had a great experience at the SPA. It was one of he best experience we have had. It left us feeling refreshed and relax. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely do it agin.

Not the best venue
I treated a friend to the spa at Chiltern's Lifestyle Centre.
When booking it I didn't get any confirmation email or text so have to call them back twice to check our booking.
The venue had only one of the two jet showers working, one of the two foot spas working, the two heated beds to lie on were barely tepid never mind warm so lying on them was most unpleasant.
The relaxation room was not particularly warm and this we felt after coming from the hot steam and sauna rooms.
The other time I went there was about 18 months ago when again only one of the showers worked (I couldn't say about the foot spa because I used one of them which was working then) I was very disappointed again when going last week.
I heard comments from regulars about the place not being that clean and I would certainly agree that putting my feet in the foot Spa without there being any way of cleaning it after the prior customer is a little disconcerting as foot diseases such as athletes foot are easily transferable.
