About the experience
This fun and engaging course will teach you all the techniques needed to successfully manoeuvre a kayak. You will learn basic safety skills, how to use the equipment and how to feel completely confident in the water. Suitable for any budding kayaker, or those who are a little bit rusty, having not been kayaking in a while, you will enjoy the guidance of professional and experienced instructors and will even be able to play a few water-based games after you've familiarised yourself with the kayak and the water. This experience is the perfect opportunity to get some fresh air and learn a new skill!
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- The experience runs on selected dates from March–October
- Minimum age is 18 years
- Maximum weight is 18 stone
- No previous experience is necessary, but being able to swim 50m and a reasonable level of fitness is preferable
- Maximum group size is 8, minimum group size is 4
- All kayaking and safety equipment is provided
- A complete change of clothes or a wetsuit with suitable footwear should be worn
- Suitable clothing should be worn according to the time of year
- You will be provided with a kit list
- Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water as there are no shops near the venue
