A very well run hotel
The hotel appears very traditional at first glance. It is very clean and well cared-for, but the thing that makes for such a pleasant stay is the staff. While treating the guests with respect, they were nonetheless friendly and very helpful. I simply felt at home there. The location was perfect for us - overlooking the river and with an elavator down to the dockside level. A most enjoyable stay.

My beloveds birthday
Having stayed at the Vermont we were really looking forward to our stay.We certainly were not disappointed.Everthing from reception onwards was perfect.Room, dinner and breakfast could not fault!! If I had to have a tiny moan ,with the weather the way it was ,it would have been great to experience the roof top facilities.We will certainly return.

Last minute deal
Decided to go to Newcastle for our 34th wedding anniversary booked the Vermont hotel 2nights b&b and dinner so easy to buy and book hotel is fab dinner was from the Al a carte menu and was delicious

Great experience!
We had a great 2 night break with dinner which was exceptional and lovely breakfast both mornings. The hotel was beautiful.
