About the experience
Embark on a guided tour and tasting for two and soak in the unique atmosphere of White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire. Based near the historic Shining Cliff woodland at the former Johnson & Nephew Wire Works, this craft distillery specialises in authentic small batch spirits. Explore the Still House, see ‘Betty’, a 600-litre spirits still as well as the handmade copper pot whisky stills, and walk through the cask stores. Learn how they make their gin, rum and whisky, and be led by a knowledgeable distiller through each step of the process. Then it’s time to take a seat in the cosy tasting room for a guided tasting of the range of craft spirits and a chance for further discussion. This is the perfect experience for spirits lovers.
What do I need to know?

- Expect to be in a group of up to 16 people

Fascinating experience
Our guide, Dave, was extremely knowledgeable about the distilling process but, more importantly, was able to communicate that information clearly to absolute novices. He was welcoming and engaging, and took care to check that a lady who couldn’t use the stairs was okay during our absence on the tour. Fully recommend this experience, particularly as the last phase of it is tasting their absolutely delicious products!

Very Informative tour
The tour was given by Tom. It was the most informative distillery tour we have ever done. The processes were explained in a very easy to understand way. All questions were answered in the same excellent manner. The only comment we have is that the on-site sign post directions could be a little clearer as it was not obvious how far we could go with the car; or whether we had to park and walk the last part of the way.

Fantastic tour
Loved the tour of the distillery, the guide was really passionate about his Whisky without being a bore and the tasting at the end of it was pure delight.
