Delightful
What a lovely venue and friendly staff. We had a table overlooking the canal and we were delighted to watch the variety of little wild birds outside. Being a vegetarian does not mean I eat spicy food or fish which is usually the presumption so I did let the young man on reception when we arrived and he was very understanding and met the kitchen know. I have been for a few afternoon teas over the last 8 years and I can say that this one was one of, if not the best, a lovely treat to be able to relax in good company and not be rushed by staff . I highly recommend this venue, set in lovely grounds and will definitely return.
The only recommendation I have is that there needs to be more signage to the actual hotel part, we had to ask on the café building but again the staff were great.

Tasty and filling
The food was great and service was quite attentive. We were disappointed that the afternoon did not come on the wheel as advertised. Also we were not asked if we wanted further drinks, probably because of a staff changeover.
