Excellent value and range of food
We were very impressed by both the quantity and quality of the food provided for our afternoon tea. Having had an afternoon tea recently at a top Oxford Hotel which was very underwhelming The Wroxton House Hotel afternoon tea was a very pleasant surprise/

5 Star plus afternoon tea.
We had an excellent afternoon at the Wroxton House Hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful. The afternoon tea was delicious with a variety of fresh and appetizing sandwiches. It was a nice surprise to given other items such as scotch eggs and mini quiches too. The selection of cakes were too good to resist. We would be extremely happy to return to the hotel in the future and to recommend it to friends.

Overpriced
Well, not the best afternoon tea I’ve had.. pity as it was a birthday treat for my husband. Sandwiches were minute and not very adventurous , egg, cheese & pickle,& there was one which neither of us could guess. Triangular scones were ok, but the jam & cream had to be spread very very thinly & cakes were on the rather sweet side. Prosecco was ok but not worth the extra, so all in all, not the best experience.
This, added to the trouble we had getting them to accept our voucher…. The staff at Buy a Gift were great though and got it sorted within 12 hours

Good tea but disappointing service
The entrance door to the hotel was not clearly signed so it took a while to find the right door. The waitress was pleasant and courteous but unable to answer what was inside the sandwiches and did not try to find out. Once the food was served we did not see the waitress again. After 90 minutes we caught the attention of a waiter and asked him if he was going to serve any tea. He seemed indifferent and asked us which tea we wanted. When we finished there was no staff in sight to say goodbye to so we just left. It is important to realise that customer service must meet the same standard as the product.
