About the experience
Located within Byrkley Park Garden Centre, Hawksflight Falconry offers an unforgettable day out for all the family. You and your loved ones will enjoy the chance to get up close and personal with the centre’s majestic birds, which range from kestrels and owls to buzzards and hawks. You’ll learn all about these incredible creatures as an informative and approachable member of staff takes you on a tour of the centre. For a supplementary fee, you can even try your hand at flying the birds!
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- This experience is available week round from 10:30am-4:30pm, year round, with the exception of Christmas, Boxing Day and Easter Monday
- All dates are subject to availability
- You may fly the birds for a supplementary fee of £35, payable directly to the supplier

Very Enjoyable Experience!
The experience was great! The hawk was beautiful and very well trained. The guide was very enthusiastic and they had a great sense of humour. They were very knowledgeable about the birds and they were good with inexperienced/anxious participants. Very enjoyable experience. Also it is positioned in a very beautiful garden centre which makes it a nice day out!

We spent a lovely relaxing and informative morning. Lovely peaceful setting and great to get so close to such beautiful birds as owls and Harris hawks. David and Amy were great fun and clearly love the birds and caring for them. It was a really great experience. Thank you

Very friendly and helpful staff who gave loads of information about the birds, so a bonus of a really educational couple of hours. Privilege to be so close to these beautiful birds.

Very enjoyable Hawk Walk Experience
After a couple rearranged dates owing to bad weather, we joined a small group of people with Joe and his Harris hawk, Tora. As Joe shared his passion and knowledge, Tora obligingly entertained us all as she flew into nearby woodland to hunt, regularly returning to the group and perching on whoever's gauntleted arm was extended for her. We all thoroughly enjoyed the time on a blustery but clear January afternoon.
