Amazing stay
Had a stopover for one night only and it was the most comfortable room we have stayed in for a long time. You were made to feel welcome as soon as you walked in the door. The evening meal was lovely and at breakfast there was a lovely choice. The room was very clean and the bed so comfortable.

The Royal Oak, Appleby
We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Royal Oak, Appleby. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable, nicely decorated with a new bathroom suite. The decor throughout the hotel has been thoughtfully considered, keeping its old charm. We had our evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. Meals were well cooked and substantial. Would definitely stay there again.
Appleby is a pretty town with many craft and gift shops. Definitely worth a visit.

b & b was fine. Evening meal we had was disappointing.

Disappointed
The deal I required could not be honoured
So I was offered a six month extension Which I thought then was a generous offer
It wasn’t until I found another deal to find out I’d been charged £20 for the extension
I was not told this amount would be deducted
So I’ve paid more towards this offer
Which works out more expensive that booking the pub direct
