Wonderful stay at The Charterhouse
We enjoyed a great 2 nights at the Charterhouse bed and breakfast in late March 2025. Lisa welcomed us, nothing was too much trouble, She and her partner provided very tasty breakfasts and there was plenty of good quality food choices. Our room had a sea view, which was extra. The room was very well presented, and a credit to the owners. Parking was good. The Charterhouse is close to the railway station, which is handy for the steam train trips! It is a bit of a walk to the town centre and the harbour area but, not at all unpleasant especially when the weather is better than it was for us! There are many good restaurants in Torquay so the walking exercise was good. We would highly recommend and hope we can visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Really great gift
You can't go wrong here a very nice and friendly atmosphere here. Great room with fantastic sea views and the breakfast is to die for a really big 10/10.

Torquay Relaxation
The Charterhouse is a lovely place to stay and caters for dogs providing one of the two garden rooms is available. Our room was the one pictured and was spacious and clean. The choice of food for breakfast is extensive and really tasty.
All credit to Lisa and Christophe for providing us with a most enjoyable stay. The location is only a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and a dog friendly beach.
We will definitely stay there again.

Great 2 night stay
First time booking this bed and breakfast and we will definitely book again . The lady cannot do enough for you it’s spotless comfy beds and everything you need is provided . Breakfast was cooked fresh as you asked for it with yogurt fruit juice cereals and pastries nothing too much trouble .
