About the experience

Indulge in a timely English tradition with a South African inspired twist, with afternoon tea for two at the trendy B Bar near London Victoria Station. Take in the stylish surroundings and South African style décor, while you tuck into a selection of traditional and Amarula scones with clotted cream and jam, along with a selection of cakes, pastries and traditional South African Bunny Chow. Bunny Chow originated from Durban in the 1940s as a popular fast food dish of hollow bread filled with curry. For their twist, the B Bar will serve a variety of hollowed out mini bread rolls, with delicious fillings to enjoy. Go on, treat yourself!

Gorgeous Afternoon Tea

We had a beautiful, very reasonably priced Afternoon tea for 2 with a touch of South African flair at BBar, just a stones throw from Buckingham Palace. Experiences are such a memorable gift, and this year with delicious cakes, fresh scones, soft and stunningly filled breads was such a treat paired with delightful conversation with a great friend.

A new take on afternoon tea, and we loved it!

When we arrived, we were given the choice of a regular afternoon tea, or a "Fish and Chips" afternoon tea, much to our surprise. Since me and my friend had just done a 2-hour London Walk, we were rather hungry and also rather intrigued - so we opted for the Fish & Chips one. It was fabulous! A generous serving of crispy, crunchy, freshly fried fish and chips. Two large, fresh, fluffy scones each and a lovely selection of mini cakes (my favourite was the little cheesecake slice). Everything was fresh and tasty, and a very generous serving, too. There's also an interesting cocktail menu if you are so inclined. The service was very friendly and efficient and we had a great time. Very impressed, and I'm sure we will be back. P.S. Afraid we didn't take any photos - we were both so hungry we tucked straight in.
