Lovely weekend away
Jane and Richard who own the Crown Country Inn are very welcoming and their food is delicious. The room was very spacious, warm and comfortable and we had a lovely weekend exploring the many historic castles, runis, market towns and scenic walks around the area.

Brilliant stay
The country inn is in a lovely location close to many places of interest. However what makes it stand out is the quality of the food here. Delicious evening meals and breakfasts. It only has 3 rooms and ours was extremely comfortable.

Good Deal. Choice a little limited.
System worked fairly well. Bought a 2 night break on discount so price was excellent. Unfortunately we forgot about it and paid a further £20 to extend it - but still a good price. Found the choice of hotels a bit limiting, some were actually no longer in business and others asked for £ supplements. Some looked a bit better on the site than Tripadvisor suggested but the choice looked mostly OK particularly in the shoulders of the season. Dealt directly with the hotel to make the booking and they processed the Buyagift voucher on the phone. Price will be more than initially paid but still looks a good deal. Haven't been yet.

Difficulty getting it accepted !!
We had problems getting the voucher accepted and even then we had to pay surcharges. The Crown would accept the voucher for Friday and Saturday only with a £15pp per night surcharge but as we could not stop Saturday (so only one night) they waived the surcharge but we had to buy a dinner ,which was nice but really rather expensive , also the rooms are not as good as the pictures portray and anyone with mobility issues will not cope with the huge steps to get to the rooms , which are not part of the main building .
The breakfast was good .
