Rachel Byass Ceramics Pottery Workshop for One

Ever wanted to learn the art of pottery? Well, with this pottery workshop, you can create your very own work of art! Situated in Pontefract in West Yorkshire, Fired Art Designs was opened by Rachel Byass in 1986. Throughout your two-hour pottery session, you will learn how to craft a pot using the pottery wheel. Make your own beautiful piece, choosing to create a bowl, vase, plant pot or dog bowl. Once you've completed your pot, you'll have a choice of 18 underglazes in which to paint it with and lots of decorating sponges and brushes to get the most from your experience. Your pot will then be fired for you before its dipped in glaze making it food safe and ready for use. It's ready to be taken home and shown off to your friends within 10 days or you can have it shipped for a small cost fee. An impressive way to learn a fun new skill, this taster session is ideal for people who love watching programmes like Channel 4's The Great Pottery Throw Down.

What do I need to know?

• Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
• Your voucher is valid for one person
• Available five days a week, including weekends
• This class will run for two hours, starting at 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm
• Your painted pot will be fired and glazed once dry, you will be able to collect it within 10 days of your session
• There will be up to five people in each session
• All dates are subject to availability
